This hospital was a complete joke. I heard a nurse say that patients who have nobody get better care than patients who have someone with them. I was giving my father fluids such as coffee and water with a straw and one of the nurses told me not to use a straw because it was better to help him drink directly from the cup. I tried this several times and ended up spilling hot coffee all over him and then he ended up aspirating… They brought in a bed that moves for patients not to get bedsores and not one nurse knew how to work it. They were extremely annoyed if we asked for anything and they would make us wait forever if we push the call button and I would have to go find someone and they would still make us wait. There were a couple staff members who were good but the majority were worthless. And my father died from Covid there after 10 days and it should not have happened. Unfortunately I live in Florida and when I returned home I called the hospital several times asking to speak to someone Highup in administration and left several messages but no one would return my calls. My father went from being able to eat and talk and drink to them saying they didn’t think he was going to recover and giving him medication that purposely made his heart stop. If you are old, this is not the hospital for you. They feel that you are old enough and ready to die and they are not going to do much of anything to extend your life.
